My own professional journey began in Los Angeles public mental health where I treated diverse populations of couples, young adults, adults, and older adults with persistent anxiety, depression, PTSD, thought disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders. It was the beginning of my understanding of the necessity of trauma informed and culturally-sensitive practices. Eventually I returned home to NYC where I discovered that my service to others and to my own best self blossom in the realm of private practice.
I have received formal and extensive training in and can provide treatment in the following modalities:
Attachment-focused EMDR for complex PTSD, phobias, or developmental trauma
Maternal Mental Health for perinatal/postpartum mental health difficulties
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Mindfulness based interventions
